

Kindergarten
kcs offers a Kindergarten program that runs from September to June. The class size is limited to 15 children and strives to ensure the adult student ratio is 1-5 or less. Classes will run on Thursday, Friday and every other Monday for the 2021-22 school year. Class begins at 8:45 am and ends at 2:45 pm.
kcs follows the curriculum identified by Alberta Education in programming for it's Kindergarten class. The following are incorporated into the school year through cooperative learning, discovery learning, field trips and centers.

kcs maintains an open door policy for all parents and encourages communication at all times. The Early Interventionists and Teacher work closely with the Early Intervention Director to ensure all learning styles are addressed.
Supplies Needed for September:
Backpack
Nut free lunch, 2 snacks and water bottle
Indoor shoes labelled with the child's name
1 bottle white glue
1 package pipsqueak markers(skinny short ones)
1 box of Mr. Sketch markers
1 box of crayons
2 white 5x7 canvas
2 packages gemstone stickers
1 Plastic communication pouch(they are called courier bags 9x14)
1 black sketch book
3 dry erase markers (black, red blue or green)
1 dry erase Eraser
3 duotangs
2 boxes of kleenex
